In my previous post regarding the Physician’s Relocation Services I offer, I discussed the general information one would be curious about when considering the move to College Station. In this post, I’d like to cover our excellent medical facilities here in the Bryan and College Station region.
The College Station Medical Center, locally known as The Med, is a state-of-the-art facility with 150 licensed beds, 520 hospital employees, and is accredited by The Joint Commission, Lab Accredidation. In addition to the many specialties for which they offer care (to include allergy, endocrinology, neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery, rheumatology, and many others), they provide an extensive list of services. Their Cancer center, cardiac center, geriatric acute care, nutritional counseling, sleep lab, sports medicine, women’s pavilion and others are second to none in quality of care offered.
Scott & White: For the seventh straight year, Scott & White has been ranked among the Thomson 100 Top Hospitals in the country. Based upon clinical excellence, patient safety and satisfaction, operating efficiency and community responsiveness, the benchmark study names Scott & White among the elite major teaching hospitals in the country. Over 100 year old establishment – began in Temple. Today, Scott & White Healthcare is a fully integrated health system — the largest multi-specialty practice in Texas and the sixth largest group practice in the nation. Scott & White employs more than 800 physicians and research scientists who care for patients covering 25,000 square miles across Central Texas.
St. Joseph Health System is based in Bryan, Texas and serves the Brazos Valley with its integrated health care network of hospitals and clinics. St. Joseph is a not-for-profit, and provides the highest quality patient care, valuable medical research and clinical education, as well as significant benefits to the community.
The College Station campus of the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine is headquartered at the Joe H. Reynolds Medical Building on the Texas A&M University west campus. Further, the Texas A&M University System has announced a partnership with nationally renowned Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers. This leading cancer center is moving to the Health Science Center Campus in Bryan to create a new research and treatment center in our community.
