GIRL SCOUT SPOTLIGHT: Troop 2113 Says “Heads Up Austin”
In December 2007, Troop 2113 lost their co-leader, Amy, in a car accident. Today, in honor of their leader, the troop is leading a safety campaign, “Heads Up Austin,” for their Bronze Award. They entered a Time Warner Cable PSA contest in the spring and won! Their PSA will air this fall and will promote knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving. Survivor! Camp: September 6-7, Menard County
Join us for your chance to be a survivor, just like on TV! You’ll lay out your campsites, compete in food challenges and survival games, and search for the hidden immunity mascot.
Race on the River: September 13, Tom Green County
Get ready for the greatest canoe race in Central Texas! Compete in the race or cheer on your fellow Girl Scouts. The qualification deadline has been extended to August 27. Check in is Saturday at 11 a.m. and the fee has been reduced to $15.
