If you’re new to the Brazos Valley or you are considering a move to our area, why would you settle for the same Pizza Hut or Olive Garden that can be found in almost all the towns you come across? Aggieland is filled to the brim with restaurants that offer delicious local food, no matter what your budget is like or what you are in the mood to eat! Once you taste cuisine that has been made by Aggies and for Aggies (make no mistake, you’ll be accepted as a member of the Aggie family as soon as you arrive), you won’t look to the humdrum fast food chains to fulfill food-based needs from then on!
That’s why we would like to do several articles to shine a light on the best eateries offered in our neck of the woods, for both our residents with tenure and those that haven’t yet answered that sweet tune whistled by the Siren that beckons them to the Brazos Valley. All of the businesses featured have owners that live in the area with us, and all their income made from peddling palatable wares contributes itself straight into our own community. Know with certainty that eating at these establishments doesn’t merely make your mouth water for a morsel more (although, to be fair, each item on their menu will do that too!), it also benefits the economy of everybody that is lucky enough to live in our neighborhoods.
We will cover where to find the classics like hamburgers and pizza pies in an article or two from now, but first we want to talk you living the adventure that is trying something you might not have tried before. Let us be possibly the first to introduce you to Zand’s Persian Kebabs. Located on Texas Avenue, Zand’s Persian Kebabs has been in service of these twin cities for some time now with their Persian and Iranian choices for lunch and dinner. Like hummus? Theirs is homemade and fresh every day, you haven’t had it like this before! In his words, one satisfied individual commented that, “Amazing! How have we not heard of this place before? Ali is a true chef, with a fine culinary background (having worked with Persian, Turkish, Greek, and British chefs), who is always improving his recipes. Very clean. We expect to eat here often.”
Now, this next bit is for those of you that want your meals to kick back a little bit. We can’t let you loose without our own recommendation that you try their chili sauce, no matter what the dish might be. It doesn’t cost anything to add it, and our promise to you is that you won’t find another sauce like it from one end to the other of our state of Texas. Say that Century 21 recommended it when the delectable scent of the fresh-made kebab lures you and your family inside those doors so they know that their community is looking out for them in the same manner that they look out for us!
Now, it might seem like an exaggeration that the choice on which location that you decide to settle in could come down to something as simple as the dining options available to you; but after this article and the next several after it, you might be surprised that it draws you closer and closer to Aggieland. You’ve most likely been researching our region already, but let us here at Century 21 Beal be the ones to whisper all the best-kept secrets of it in your ear!
