Did you know we have another “STAR” in our community? ANOTHER College Station resident is being featured on national television. Michael Stribling is one of the eight contestants on this season’s HGTV Design Star a reality competition design show. He is the youngest person to compete on Design Star!
HGTV says that he “attributes his success as a designer to his fresh and youthful approach to style.”
Michael’s approach to design is like a breath of fresh air. He actually listens to the client and can take their feelings and style and translate that into something beautiful. He is not interested in spending the most money or making a project “in his image”. He truly is interested in what the CLIENT wants even if they aren’t sure what that is yet. Through his creativity he can take a small boring space and make it look and feel larger. I’ve seen him take a small kitchen and with a little “out of the box thinking” turn it into an expansive area for entertaining.
With Michael, no project is too big and no one can find a designer that gives more of himself to the project.
Michael is the son of Danny and Linda Stribling of College Station, Texas.

I have been a big fan of my dear friend Linda Stribling’s son, Michael Stribling for years. His talents exceed so many and he truly deserves this honor. I hope that the entire Bryan-College Station Community will join me in watching Michael every Sunday starting June 8th on HGTV. Design Star is one of America’s most watched television shows and right here in Aggieland our born and raised star Michael Stribling is going to make us all proud! Congratulations little brother- I am rooting for you!

Wow Michael Stribling looked GREAT last night! It was wonderful to see him recover from freezing up. We have ALL had problems like that and he did a GREAT job recovering!
Oh my goodness, Michael Stribling is all grown up! I used to babysit for the Striblings many years ago, so it is a blast from the past to see the towheaded little boy now as a handsome and creative young man. I will be watching every show and cheering to Michael to win. Good luck!!!

I would have to disagree that he is the new design star. I don’t like his attitude - like it or not he did railroad Tracee. I didn’t like his interview nor his style.

I LOVE MICHAEL!!!! I mett him a little over a year ago and he is amazing. Full of energy and his talent shines. I watched Michael tonight and he continues to amaze me. Best wishes!!!
